Geography Department
The Geography Department at Govt. Ranbir College in Sangrur a part of an institution affiliated with Punjabi University, Patiala. The department offers courses at the undergraduate level, under the NEP 2020 two new subjects introduce (Introduction of Geography India and Reading the Atlas Maps) specifically a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Geography.
Currently, the department has one listed faculty member. Assistant Professor Gurpreet Singh, who holds multiple qualifications including M.Sc., B.Ed., P. TET, C-TET and UGC NET.
Paper Publication: The research paper is published on the topic “A Geographical analysis of trends in maize cultivation and its sustainability in Punjab”. The Research Journal of Social Science.
Paper Presentation: Present a research paper titled “A Geographical analysis of trends in maize production and its sustainability in Punjab” in 19th APG Meet & International Conference on sustainable Agriculture, Food Security and Environment from 2 to 3 November, 2018 in Khalsa College, Patiala.
Geography Lab
Geography Lap is fully quipped, Over head projector use for audiovisual lectures, Tracing tables use for Map tracing by the students,Show the difference Models and Maps related to Geographical features in the lab.
