Code of conduct for students

 

If the teachers are the nation- builders, then the students are the future of the nation. When a student joins the college he or she is expected to follow the rules, regulations, policies, discipline in the institution in order to develop himself/herself into a better and responsible human being. All students must uphold the academic integrity and be sincere to the institution. The college has framed the following policy document for the overall code of conduct to be followed by the students.

  1. Admission will be made as per rules laid by Punjabi University Patiala.
  2. Admission procedure is given in detail in the college prospectus which is uploaded on the college website. The students must abide by the rules.
  3. Ragging in any form is strictly prohibited. It is a cognizable offence as per the directions of the Hon'ble Supreme court. In case of any problem, the students are advised to contact any member of the anti- ragging cell.
  4. Carrying of weapons is strictly prohibited in the college campus.
  5. Drinking, smoking and drugs are prohibited in the college.
  6. Any kind of misconduct/misbehavior inside the campus will result in displinary action and the immediate suspension from the college.
  7. Malpractices such as cheating, bribing, gambling copying in tests and exam, giving false declaration, spreading rumour, printing or distributing/displaying unauthorised notices of any kind in the campus are punishable.
  8. Inviting/meeting strangers or unauthorized persons inside the campus without the written permission from the principal is not allowed.
  9. Causing damage to college property is a punishable offence.
  10. Misusing of instruments/computers and electric and electronic devices in the campus is strictly prohibited.
  11. Standing in the parks and roads, balconies and passages during class hours is not allowed.
  12. The whole campus is under surveillance of CCTV cameras. The students are supposed to behave and act decently in the campus.
  13. The principal will have the right to cancel admission of any student on disciplinary grounds during the course at any time.

The guidelines are just indicative college’s ethical policy. These guidelines should not be interpreted as complete in themselves.
